I kept hearing Hashemite kingdom of jordan Chase (Jonny Lee Miller) from Dexter every bit the vocalisation throughout the book. Chase's whole motivational phrase was "Have IT!" The mutual thread throughout this volume was just to take activeness. Become out of bed, go off the couch, stop wallowing in your own cluttered insecure delusions. Get out into the earth, make a decision, accept action, make something happen for yourself.

I very rarely rate books a v on Goodreads (I wish information technology had a iv.5) as books always seem to take that i affair that prevents it from being perfect. This book is an exception. Information technology is exactly what the title says it is. Its 116 individual meditations on taking action. I think this is a must read for everyone.The meditations help build an understanding of how we, through the the need to program and justify our actions, fall into a design of inaction. It then goes to show that action, even with incomplete information, is better than no activeness at all. Finally, it challenges us to take action in all situations.

This is not a book to read if you lot are already someone that gets shit done. This is the book you requite to the young teenager that can't get moving and is paralyzed by fright. 116 meditations could've been summed up with a dozen, tops.

When I finished this I could not place it in either my list of philosophy or psychology books, every bit information technology makes gross errors in both accounts. 1/3 of the way through I had already got all I could from it simply I finished it to see if there was more in wait, and as well only to finish a volume. It is short enough. Doesn't take long.

Y'all would exist far better served by reading the first three chapters of "The vii Habits of Highly Effective People" past Covey.
This is complete drivel. It reads like an unfinished rough typhoon of drunken ramblings near ACTION.What is activeness according to this book? Everything.

My philosophy of life differs from Kyle Eschenroeder's, so I have some fundamental objections to much of his advice. Cartoon from Marcus Aurelius, Nietzsche, eastern religions, Nassim Taleb, and a range of other sources (while somewhat contradictorily despising reading and thinking), Kyle seems to encourage a life that whirls and bounces betwixt a life of doing - doing annihilation - that ultimately must never be satisfied. Ultimately even, never at rest. Without some philosophical base beyond oneself, with all the focus on oneself, I am afraid yous will exist disappointed still at the end of life, no affair how much activity y'all took, no thing how many adventures, no matter how many successes, no matter how many things learned for your own cocky-improvement for failures.
Encouraging focusing on oneself and rejecting the ability, wisdom, and aid from outside yourself that can come from reading, religion, rest, delectation, thankfulness, and fellowship is a detail weak indicate of this book's communication.
